ChosenCouture.com peddles "Kosher" Style on the Web

(PRWEB) April 24, 2004

ChosenCouture.com, a web retailer showcasing hip Jewish fashion and kitsch makes its debut on the internet.

Why is this site different from all other sites? ChosenCouture.com is the premiere source for stylish and innovative designs inspired by Jewish tradition and culture. Shoppers can expect to find sterling silver and 14k gold kabbalah bracelets, Yiddish phrase t-shirts Rabbi?s Daughters, and the must have for Yankees fan this season ? the ?Jews for Jeter? tee!

?Many of the designs carried on the site are rooted in humor,? says Chosen Couture founder Sara Schwimmer. The site, she says, is inspired by her mother who has always made the holidays a fun experience for the family. ?One year for Passover she made a centerpiece out of Barbie dolls and dressed Ken up as Moses,? Schwimmer explains. ChosenCouture.com seeks to promote Jewish pride via fashion and fun products. The site also features a links page introducing customers to other Jewish websites and companies.

Photographer Seth Kushner is shooting the site?s promotional campaign which will feature various Jewish celebrities modeling Chosen Couture merchandise, beginning with rap artist 50 Shekel. In addition to photographing subjects such as Alicia Keys and Woody Harrelson, Kushner is a regular contributor to HEEB magazine for which he photographed two covers.

ChosenCouture.com founder Sara Schwimmer, age 27, is a nice Jewish girl from Brooklyn, NY with a degree in Fashion Merchandising from The Fashion Institute of Technology. Prior to launching ChosenCouture.com, Schwimmer worked in public relations and marketing at Girlshop.com where she gained her online experience.
