eClaris Bolsters Electronic Discovery Data Redundancy and Hosting Capabilities

South Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) August 18, 2010

eClaris, Inc., a dynamic electronic discovery consultancy and service provider, has dramatically strengthened its near-duplicate and hosting capabilities. The new partnerships will enable eClaris' clientele to blend these cutting-edge technologies with the company's strong consultative professionalism to meet their needs.

"Using Equivio and Relativity, eClaris' eDiscovery Consultants can respond more flexibly to our customers' evolving electronic information needs," said Jacques Nack Ngue, CISA, eClaris' Founder and President. "These technology solutions are part of the eClaris best-of-breed commitment to enable our client to react swiftly and defensibly to investigative or legal requests for electronic data."

Equivio

eClaris is pleased to now support Equivio's content-centric near duplicates email thread capability. eClaris clients can now enjoy reduced overall document review efforts by reviewing only emails that contain unique, relevant content. The combining of email threads and near-duplicates enable legal teams to skip over redundant data, while focusing exclusively on the unique information in each document.

Equivio groups eClaris client emails belonging to a thread, and proceeds to build the thread hierarchy. In reconstituting the thread, eClaris Consultants can pinpoint the original email and build the assorted branches of the thread from ensuing "send events", such as reply and forward. Being content-centric, the last email in a thread will contain the information from the previous layers in the thread. The email threads are reconstructed to discover the differences between documents. By doing so, the sheer number of emails that need to be reviewed are dramatically cut down.

Emails in either native or extracted text format, including both fielded and non-fielded email files across a variety of email systems and formats, are accepted. By maximizing the availability of data, the risk of missing essential information is reduced. The Equivio groupings also ensure comparable documents are treated consistently, while enhancing review productivity and helping clients meet firm deadlines.

"More and more, the litigation experience is being tested with runaway document volumes and review costs," said Jeff Steve, Esq., Senior eDiscovery Consultant at eClaris. "The implementation of Equivio's email thread, near-duplicate technology and comparative analysis allows our clients to better control these variables. Our customers can now isolate the precise documents that contain the unique, relevant information they are seeking and intelligently review their documents regardless of their review platform."
