Lady GaGa Could Break VMA Records, But Who Will Steal the Show?

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 9, 2010

There's nothing quite like the MTV Video Music Awards, where rock star shenanigans are encouraged and outlandish fashions take center stage. With Lady GaGa, Eminem, Taylor Swift and Kanye West expected to be in attendance, the 2010 VMAs could become the most talked-about entertainment event of the year. Voters at mobile communities like Snackable Media's Predicto.com have been answering polls about which artists will take top honors, as well as what surprises might be in store for viewers.

Lady GaGa dominated this year's nominations, receiving 13 nods, including Video of the Year for "Bad Romance." She's poised to surpass Peter Gabriel's record nine VMA wins, and 73% of voters at Predicto.com believe she'll do just that. Many fans also expect nothing less than a jaw-dropping appearance from the unpredictable and at times, bizarre, icon. One Predicto member says "she deserves the wins. She's the best since Madonna, and I hope she shows Katy Perry how it's done."

Like Lady GaGa and Katy Perry, Ke$ ha made her mark on the music scene due to her outrageous persona and hit songs. Both pop divas snared VMA nominations for Best New Artist in years past, as did Ke$ ha this year. GaGa won the award in 2009; can Ke$ ha do the same in 2010? According to everyone from Predicto's mobile voters to legions of swooning Twitter followers, pint-sized pop star Justin Bieber will take home the award instead.

Viewers will definitely be tuning in to see if any outbursts rival last year's "Kanye incident", when the volatile West bum rushed Taylor Swift's VMA acceptance speech, launching a drunken tirade and viral tidal wave. Since it was the defining moment of last year's telecast, it's hard to imagine that Kanye would not use these VMAs for a chance at redemption. This year's host Chelsea Handler has said that she hopes to reunite West and Swift at Sunday's show. 68% of the Predicto mobile community thinks that the two stars will indeed share a stage once again.

The MTV Video Music Awards would be just another long awards show without the drama and excitement that its nominees and performers deliver each year. While there is no doubt that people will be discussing the show on Monday morning, it remains to be seen which star will create the greatest water cooler buzz.

Mobile Buzz: Lady Gaga Taking Career in New Direction?

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 29, 2010

Although she's only released two albums since splashing onto the music scene just a few years ago, there's no question that Lady Gaga has become the most talked about pop star on the planet. Coming off the heels of her multiple victories at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, not to mention the intensely controversial raw beef fashion statement she made while accepting Video of the Year, the eccentric diva is on track to create even more buzz this season. The Predicto Mobile community is clearly gaga for Gaga, and has been casting their votes about what surprises are in store for her continued dominance in the spotlight.

Gaga's "meat dress" was not the only memorable moment when the artist picked up the MTV Video of the Year award for "Bad Romance." Overcome with emotion, she revealed that her new album would be called "Born This Way," and even sang a few lines from its title track for the appreciative audience. Now that she dropped its name, Predicto voters strongly believe that "Born This Way" will drop early as well and hit iTunes this fall.

What else would Lady Gaga's fanbase, which she has dubbed "little monsters," love to see their idol do next? Their overwhelming answer is for her to collaborate with Nicki Minaj, the rapidly rising talent who is often described as "the next Lady Gaga." One commenter on Predicto.com echoes the fan sentiment: "Lady Gaga would do anything for her fans, and Nikki is hot now, so it would be good for both of them."

Now that she has conquered the music scene, Gaga could even be ready to try out a whole new medium. She has reportedly expressed interest in guest-starring on the hit show "CSI: Miami," following in the footsteps of Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber. The Predicto Mobile community envisions that Gaga would have a great "poker face" for television, with the majority predicting she'll make a cameo on the show.

Another clue that dominating the music charts isn't enough for her: most recently, Lady Gaga has involved herself in politics, campaigning in Maine for the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell". This latest foray begs the ultimate question - Lady Gaga for President, anyone?
